only as needed for the requested service, then delete or deidentify

We also apply general criteria (e.g., legal requirements, warranty periods, security/fraud prevention) and delete or deidentify when no longer needed.
2) Where we get the information
- Directly from you (forms, registrations, event and promotion signups, customer service).
- Automatically from our Sites (cookies, pixels, similar technologies — controlled via our cookie banner and settings).
- From partners that help deliver or measure ads/analytics (e.g., platforms and agencies). We may receive audience segments or device IDs; we do not receive raw GPS coordinates from partners.
3) How we use it
We use personal information to:
- Operate, maintain, and improve the Sites and our products/services.
- Provide support, manage training/education portal registrations, and send product/training updates (you can opt out anytime).
- Measure, analyze, and improve site performance and advertising; develop aggregated insights.
- Detect, prevent, and investigate security incidents and fraud; protect our rights and users.
- Comply with laws and enforce our terms.
- Automated decision‑making: we do not currently make decisions with legal or similarly significant effects using automated tools; if we later do, we’ll provide a pre‑use notice, options to opt out/appeal (as applicable), and update this Notice.
4) Cookies, ads & your choices (including Global Privacy Control)
- We use cookies/pixels to support functionality, analytics, and advertising.
- Non‑essential technologies (including session‑replay or chat monitoring) do not load until you choose them in our cookie banner; you can change choices anytime in Manage Cookies.
- We recognize opt‑out preference signals such as Global Privacy Control (GPC) and treat them as a request to opt out of sale/sharing and targeted advertising for that browser (and we link the signal to your account where feasible). To extend an online opt‑out to matching offline records (e.g., warranty or support history), submit a request through Your Privacy Choices, email, or our toll-free number., use Your Privacy Choices or contact us.
5) Targeted advertising & “sale”/“sharing” under state laws
- We do not sell personal information for money.
- Some state laws treat certain ad/analytics activities as a “sale” or “sharing” (or “targeted advertising”). Where required, we provide controls to opt out via “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information / Your Privacy Choices” in our footer and through cookie settings (and we honor GPC).
6) When we disclose information
We disclose personal information to:
- Service providers (hosting, IT, analytics, customer support).
- Ad/measurement platforms and marketing partners (to deliver and measure ads; subject to opt‑out).
- Affiliates/subsidiaries (intra‑group services).
- Analytics providers (aggregated site performance).
- Parties in a business transfer (merger, acquisition, or asset sale).
- Legal/compliance/safety purposes (e.g., to comply with law, protect rights/users/public).
We contractually require processors to use appropriate safeguards, follow our instructions, delete/return data at end of services, and assist with multi‑state duties (e.g., consumer rights). We maintain deidentified data controls and will not attempt to reidentify deidentified data.
7) Your choices
- Marketing emails: use the unsubscribe link or contact us.
- Cookies/Ads: manage in the banner; use Your Privacy Choices and supported browser signals (e.g., GPC).
- Device/location settings: manage via your device or browser.
- Training/education emails: unsubscribe in those messages or contact us.
8) Your privacy rights (vary by state)
Depending on your state, you may have the right to:
- Access and receive a copy of your data; correct inaccuracies; delete data; portability.
- Opt out of sale/sharing and targeted advertising (and, in some states, profiling for decisions with legal or similarly significant effects).
- Limit the use/disclosure of sensitive personal information (where applicable).
- Appeal our response if we deny your request; we’ll tell you how to contact your Attorney General if your state provides that option.
- Use an authorized agent to submit certain requests.
How to exercise rights: Contact us via any of the methods listed in Section 13 of this Notice. We don’t require you to create an account. We verify identity using only what’s reasonably necessary and respond within the timeframes allowed by law (extensions permitted where necessary). We do not discriminate against you in any way for exercising rights.
9) Sensitive data & location
We collect and use personal information only to the extent reasonably necessary and proportionate to provide or maintain the product or service you request or as allowed by law.
- We do not sell sensitive data. Where required, we obtain opt‑in consent before processing sensitive data (e.g., Texas) or honor rights to limit (e.g., California).
- We use approximate location (e.g., city/ZIP from your IP address) for measurement and/or relevance; we do not collect precise GPS data.
- Maryland: for Maryland residents, we restrict ad targeting/measurement to approximate location and prohibit geofencing near certain sensitive places related to Consumer Health Data (as that term is defined in the applicable laws and regulations); our partners must enforce these limits and comply with all Maryland laws. Employees, contractors, and processors who may access any Consumer Health Data must be under a duty of confidentiality and bound by our written contracts limiting use to our purposes. These limits apply to Maryland residents wherever their data is processed, not just when the data is collected in Maryland.
10) Children
Our Sites are not directed to children. We do not have knowledge that we sell or share the personal information of consumers under 16 years of age. We do not sell personal data of consumers under 18, and we do not process personal data for targeted advertising where we know or should reasonably know a consumer is under 18. If we learn we collected such data, we delete it.
11) Security
We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect personal information. Be advised that no method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure.
12) Changes to this Notice
We review and update our California disclosures at least once every 12 months. We will post the updated version with a new effective date and, if changes are material, provide any required additional notices.

These items supplement (and control over) the rest of this Notice for residents of the listed states.
- California (CCPA/CPRA): Opt out of sale/sharing and targeted ads via Your Privacy Choices (we also honor GPC). Minnesota residents can request an explanation of any profiling decisions with legal or similarly significant effects.
- Maryland (effective Oct 1, 2025): We conduct Data Protection Assessments for certain higher‑risk processing (as required) and enforce geofencing/precise‑location restrictions tied to Consumer Health Data, as noted above. You may appeal any of our decisions; we’ll tell you how to contact your AG if we deny an appeal.
- Texas: We obtain consent before processing sensitive data (including precise geolocation) and honor GPC for sale/targeted-ads/profiling opt-outs where applicable. We respond to Texas residents’ requests within 45 days (and may extend once by another 45 days when needed) and decide appeals within 60 days.
If your state isn’t listed, you still have the baseline choices/rights described above; additional rights apply as those state laws may take effect.
